Professional Participation
The Referral Partner Program™
Not every professional wants or needs to implement Seller Progression Workflow™ directly. Some simply encounter business owners who are thinking about a future sale or transition and are not yet ready for deeper professional work.
Referral participation allows a professional to direct an appropriate owner to SellerPreparation.com — a separate, owner-facing educational assessment platform — while preserving the professional relationship and the owner’s independence.
What Referral Participation Is
A way to give an owner somewhere useful to go.
Path A
Use SPW Professionally
For professionals who want to implement the licensed framework directly within their own practice. Pilot participation and licensing remain the authoritative pathways.
Path B
Refer an Owner
For professionals who encounter owners who could benefit from a neutral, self-directed preparation experience without the professional implementing SPW directly.
These paths are complementary. A professional does not need to purchase or license SPW in order to request Referral Partner participation, and a Licensed Professional may also participate in owner referrals where appropriate.
Why This Exists
Early-stage owners need somewhere to go.
- Give early-stage owners a credible place to go before deeper professional work begins.
- Reduce repetitive unpaid early-stage education.
- Preserve the professional relationship rather than interrupting it.
- Improve the quality of the next professional conversation.
- Support owner autonomy and self-directed understanding.
- Preserve professional expertise rather than replace it.
One Ecosystem · Two Platforms
How the two platforms relate.
SellerProgressionWorkflow.com
Professional infrastructure
Professional education, licensing, Pilot participation, implementation resources, the professional dashboard, and professional participation — including referral participation.
SellerPreparation.com
Owner education
Owner-facing education and self-directed Seller Preparation Assessments™, purchased and completed independently by the owner.
The professional may introduce the owner. The owner chooses whether to visit, purchase, and complete an assessment. SellerPreparation.com does not automatically transmit an owner’s answers, documents, or progress to the referring professional. The owner remains in control of completed assessment files and may share them with their own professionals if they choose.
The Role
What a Referral Partner does.
Step 1
Receive an approved referral relationship
Referral participation begins with a reviewed request. Submitting an inquiry does not by itself activate referral participation.
Step 2
Receive an assigned referral link when activated
Referral attribution is administered through the applicable referral program infrastructure on the owner-facing platform.
Step 3
Share the link with an appropriate owner
The professional introduces the owner to a neutral, self-directed educational environment. Nothing further is required.
Step 4
The owner decides independently
The owner chooses whether to visit, purchase, and complete an assessment. There is no obligation on either party.
Step 5
Participation rewards are administered under program terms
Eligible referred purchases may qualify for participation rewards under the applicable Referral Partner Program terms.
Referral participation is governed by the applicable Referral Partner Program terms. SPW does not publish reward percentages, payout schedules, earnings projections, or income claims, and referral participation is not represented as a source of expected income.
